Dr. (Prof) Atul N.C. Peters

With over 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. (Prof)
Atul N.C. Peters’ areas of expertise include Laparoscopic &
Robotic Bariatric Surgery (for Severe Obesity), Metabolic Surgery
(for Diabetes), and GI Surgery. A surgeon of International repute, Dr. Peters is board certified by “National Board of Surgery” and holds professional fellowships/memberships in various National & International Surgical societies.

Dr. Atul N.C. Peters is at present the Director of the Department of Bariatric, Minimal Access & General Surgery at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. He operates in India, Dubai, and Muscat.

Dr. Yogesh Gautam
Associate Director & Advisor
Dr. Yogesh Gautam is the Associate Director & Advisor at SMART Cliniqs. He graduated from Delhi University in the year 1978 and did his Masters in surgery, and Diplomate of National Board Degree in Surgery in 1983 and ever since has trained more than 100 surgical students in his guidance. He is one of the pioneers to bring Minimal Access Surgery in India. He has more than 25 years of experience in Minimal Access Surgery and has participated in many teaching programs. He has been associated with tertiary care hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Batra Hospital & Max Hospital. In Kolmet Hospital, he is instrumental in setting up of the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery and leading the academic programmes. He is also an MBA in Health care from FMS, Delhi.

Dr. Shalabh Agarwal
Associate Consultant
Dr. Shalabh Agarwal is an Associate Consultant at SMART Cliniqs. He was a surgical resident at Hindu Rao Hospital, Delhi, where he gained wide experience in general and laparoscopic surgery. He has attended several specialized training courses in Minimal Access surgeries in India, followed by Fellowship in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery at our Institute. He has assisted more than 1000 bariatric surgeries. He was recently awarded the Fellowship by the International Bariatric Club, after successful completion of the advanced Bariatric Surgery course. Dr Shalabh is also a trained ACLS/BLS provider, certified by American Heart Association. He has special interest in data management and monitoring of clinical outcomes and surgical audits.

Ms. Beena Arora
Clinical Nutritionist & Weight Loss Dietician
Ms. Beena Arora is a Clinical Nutritionist at SMART Cliniqs. She heads our SMART Nutrition & SMART Weight Loss Cliniqs and is responsible for nutritional guidance in general as well as specific health conditions for the patients. She is the key person responsible for organizing patient support group meetings at the institute. She has over 15 years of experience in Clinical Nutrition and has been associated with reputed hospitals such as BLK Super Specialty Hospital & Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi and Avadh Hospital and Heart Centre, Lucknow as HOD,Dept. of Dietetics. She is UGC-NET qualified and was working as Assistant Professor, Dept of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, Delhi University. She is perusing her Ph. D. in Bariatric nutrition from Delhi University, with special focus on post operative nutritional management. She is a life time member of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) and Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI). She is also associated as a visiting teaching faculty with Lady Irwin College and also various fellowship programs in Bariatric nutrition.

Ms. Nalini Massey
Program Manager
Ms. Nalini is the Program Manager at SMART Cliniqs and is associated with the institute for over 14 years now. She is the primary contact person for patients in person and is responsible for organizing workshops, CME’s and all other marketing and academic activities for the institute. Also, works in coordination with the operation theatre staff, admission department, finance department, operations department, and inpatient personnel for smooth running of the institute and planning the patient’s schedule. Further, her key role for the institute is to handle international patients, in terms of coordination for their travel, stay & treatment.
